Fangda Group NHI:Daily Loading of Heat Treatment Furnace Has Reached A New Annual High Record

In August, NHI Heat Treatment Plant ushered in the peak of production again. Recently, the daily furnace capacity of the plant exceeded 158 tons, which was a new high in this year.

Accompanied by the delivery of cylinder mixer half gear, rollers and other products of Hebei Huaxin, Tangshan Ganglu, Ji 'nan Steel and other projects to the NHI factory, NHI heat treatment plant responded positively and acted quickly, working day and night to rush the manufacture schedule and concentrate all efforts to ensure the progress.
Technology Activation and Energy Innovation
Technological innovation is the lifeblood of enterprise survival and sustainable development. With the support of Liaoning Fangda Group, by sustaining to increase investment in product research and development, NHI purchased and replaced graphic workstations, servers and computers, and purchased and upgraded nine software such as ANSYS and Solidworks etc, the condition of product design and development was greatly improved. While accelerating the technological upgrade and transformation of traditional products and rapidly pushing the upgraded products to the market, the design and development of new products were also taken as an important support for creating new economic growth points, providing a platform for technical innovation and research and development for the majority of technical personnel to display their talents.
NHI Heat Treatment Branch attached great importance to saving equipment energy consumption and reducing production cost from technical innovation, process improvement and production operation. The plant held several special meetings and the technical quality and equipment department responded positively to give full play to the professional advantages of technical personnel, and fully cooperate with the first-line teams to complete the production tasks with guaranteed quality and schedule. In the technical, they use "water-air-water" quenching method instead of oil cooling, which greatly shorten the roller quenching cooling time, effectively reduce the equipment operation time, and achieve the purpose of reducing energy consumption. Through reasonable loading and matching of furnaces, the maximum loading capacity of single heat of quenching and tempering gas furnace reaches 70 tons to ensure the full loading equipment to start; strictly control the quenching time and make full use of idle crane and quenching medium tank to speed up the production efficiency. In order to overcome the problem of high temperature of continuous water tank, they adopted measures such as increasing circulating water injection pump and opening oil and water circulating pump in advance to ensure quenching quality. Through the unremitting efforts of all staff day and night, they completed the heat treatment and processing of 18 pieces rollers and 3 sets of half gears in just one week.

As a unit of heat treatment process for NHI, the heat treatment plant grasped every detail and every equipment and strived to achieve "cost reduction, quality assurance" and eliminate "run, risk, drop, leak" phenomenon by strengthening equipment management, increasing equipment training subjects and strengthening daily inspection, striving to "reduce cost and ensure quality" and to prevent drip leakage phenomenon. The 16-meter trolley type gas furnace with the largest specification is one of the main large-scale production equipment in NHI Heat Treatment Plant. The quality of the equipment directly affected the product quality and cost control of the heat treatment plant. In the production process, it was found that the sealing on the east side of the furnace body was not tight, which led to the heat loss inside the furnace, it not only affected the product quality control, but also increased the natural gas consumption and the process cost. The technical quality and equipment personnel of the plant immediately analyzed the specific causes of the problem and determined the renovation and maintenance plan. Without increasing the cost, the equipment was reformed in only 2 days by adjusting the angle and position of the torque arm based on the original cylinder. Meanwhile, it overcame the difficulties such as insufficient manpower and bad environment to restore good sealing effect of the equipment. The mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel of the technical quality and equipment and facilities department of the plant were dedicated, responsive, well-planned and innovative to make contributions to the cost reduction and efficiency increase of the plant through their industrious hands. The responsibility of "loving factory like home" is practiced with practical actions.
When part of the product was ready for delivery, all the staff of NHI were striving to achieve the production target of "safety, high quality and high efficiency" with full enthusiasm and full energy according to the production target requirements.
